Last night, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’s own Josh Hutcherson hosted Saturday Night Live with musical guest HAIM. Check out some of the highlights from last night’s episode.

Josh Hutcherson kicked off last night’s episode of SNL with a Hunger Games style monologue with Kate McKinnon doing a spot-on impression of Effie Trinkett. Check it out below:

The show’s sketches opened with another edition of Girlfriend Talkshow featuring Aidy Bryant and Cecily Strong. Josh played a hunky teen from school with Aidy Bryant basically losing her cool in every way possible.

Kenan Thompson and Jay Pharoah included Josh Hutecherson in a hilarious digital short which showcased the life of subway performers in New York City. Anyone who uses the MTA in New York City will appreciate the spoof of what most people in the city find to be the most annoying part of getting around:

Vanessa Bayer and Josh Hutcherson spoofed the ’80s in this sketch where Josh’s character responded to all of Vanessa’s questions in the form of lyrics from The Outfield’s song “Your Love.” Video not available.

Cecily Strong and Bobby Moynihan reprised their characters as the employees who are about to be fired so they take it out on all the other employees at the company. Josh Hutcherson had fun with this one as well!

In the final sketch of the night, Josh Hutcherson’s character brought his girlfriend home for Thanksgiving, which just so happened to be a turkey (played by Vanessa Bayer). She eventually realized that she wasn’t okay with watching the family eat one of her own kind.

Check out the two performances by HAIM, “The Wire” and “Don’t Save Me” below:

What did you think of last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live with Josh Hutcherson? We think Josh Hutcherson did a fantastic job of hosting on his first time considering he’s just 21 years old!

SNL returns on December 7 with host Paul Rudd and musical guest One Direction!
