The holidays are about to get a whole lot funnier! Saturday Night Live has just announced that there will be three holiday specials over the next few months.

In a press release sent out by NBC today, it was announced that Saturday Night Live will be doing Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas specials this year. Typically, the late night comedy show would produce its annual Christmas special for its last show of the year every December. Last year Martin Short hosted with musical guest Paul McCartney.

“SNL Halloween” will air on Halloween night, October 31 at 8pm while “SNL Thanksgiving” will air Wednesday, November 27 at 10pm.

SNL’s traditional Christmas special titled “SNL Christmas” will air Wednesday, December 4 from 9-11pm ET.

No word on the format or who may or may not be hosting these events just yet.

Saturday Night Live returns October 26 with host Edward Norton and musical guest Janelle Monae. On November 2, Scandal’s Kerry Washington will host with musical guest Eminem.

Saturday Night Live has had a long tradition of making Christmas episodes a highlight of each season. With the expansion of holiday specials to Halloween and Thanksgiving, fans of the long-running show will be in for a treat and likely tons of special guests!

Will you be tuning in to each of the holiday specials throughout the next few months?
