April 9’s episode of Saturday Night Live was hosted by Russell Crowe and musical guest Margo Price.

With all due respect to those two people, this was a hum-drum episode.

SNL has prioritized spoofs on the Presidential election recently, and this episode was no different. The cold open featured Kate McKinnon reprising her Hillary Clinton impression. The skit found Hillary trying to convince New Yorkers she’s totally, totally a local. She can use the subway! She’s Nuts 4 Nuts! And she’s just as pumped as you are for Game of Thrones!

Russell Crowe’s opening monologue found him convincing us he’s definitely a comedian (“BOOBS”):

The post-monologue commercial was a decent skit in which someone’s secret about hemorrhoids was awkwardly exposed at a bar:

In the next skit, Kenan Thompson played a fumbling Al Sharpton during his MSNBC show in. The point of this skit? The real (much skinnier) Al Sharpton shows up, playing a guest on Politics Nation and puts the Presidential candidates on a Black Approval Rating Scale:

Next, Russell Crowe played the ghost of King Henry VIII and gets inappropriate:

In Match Finders, Russell Crowe played the Sean Connery character of the game show hosted by Kenan Thompson:

In 100 Days in the Jungle, one character on a Survivor-style reality show gets an unwelcomed guest from home, and an unwanted message from another relative.

In one of the final skits of the night on Saturday Night Live, Leslie Jones plays a ninja with some serious skills. It was probably one of the funnier skits of the night thanks to Leslie’s slick moves.

The last sketch of the night was a Digital Short, in which the show put together a documentary on Oprah Winfrey. Played by a white guy.

What did you think of Russel Crowe as the host of ‘SNL’?
