Another SNL alum has been honored one of the highest awards in comedy last night when Will Ferrell accepted the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. Find out when you’ll be able to watch the event on TV!

The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor is given each year to an outstanding comic who has made Americans laugh and enjoy entertainment the most. Ferrell is the third Saturday Night Live member to win the award. Last year’s winner was Tina Fey, and SNL creator Lorne Michaels won the award in 2004. This is the 14th year the award has been handed out.

Ferrell, after accepting the bronze award, dropped it and broke it in to pieces, suggesting he didn’t want to accept the award but wanted to be seen on PBS “by hundreds of people across this country.”

The special was taped at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and will air October 31st on PBS at 9pm ET.

We definitely think Will is deserving of the award regardless of Land Of The Lost! What is your favorite Will Ferrell movie?
