Airing during the Super Bowl, a quick teaser video displayed a list of very exciting names that will appear in SNL’s upcoming 40th Anniversary Special.

The SNL 40th Anniversary Special will air on Sunday, February 15 at 8/7c. Notably, the promo that aired during tonight’s Super Bowl (and displayed below) uses “begins” language, potentially teasing that there may be more than just one special regarding the 40th anniversary. Check out the promo here:

The promo boasts SNL alumni and former hosts who have made big impacts on the show over the last 40 years, including Justin Timberlake, Emma Stone, Jimmy Fallon, Derek Jeter, Paul McCartney, Chevy Chase, Kanye West, Adam Sandler, Melissa McCarthy, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Paul Simon, Robert DeNiro, Jerry Seinfeld, Molly Shannon, Steve Martin, Mike Meyers and upcoming host Eddie Murphy.

Though some notable SNL alumni like Amy Poehler, Kristen Wiig, Cheri Oteri, Seth Meyers, Maya Rudolph and others aren’t billed in this promo, we would hope to see some surprises when the show airs in just a couple of weeks.

SNL has kept quiet about the what the format will be for the upcoming 40th Anniversary Special. Will it be a traditional sketch show the way SNL has been on Saturday nights? With so many people involved it will be interesting to see how they interact with each other.
