Smash has cast its third new series regular for season 2 – Krysta Rodriguez.
As TVLine reports, Rodriguez will join the NBC musical drama as Ana – “Karen’s fun and spunky new roommate who is looking for her big break on the Great White Way.”
Rodriguez most recently played Wednesday Addams in Broadway’s The Addams Family, but has also appeared in Spring Awakening and In The Heights. In 2008, she had a short stint in the CW’s Gossip Girl.
She joins Jeremy Jordan and Andy Mientus as the newbies on the show. Jennifer Hudson will also be joining Smash, but in a guest starring role.
Back in May, it was revealed that Smash would be casting three new series regulars for its upcoming second season. It appears that the characters and names have changed since then.
Smash returns at midseason.
