It was announced last night that the Sanzaru Games-developed Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is coming to the PlayStation Vita.

The announcement came on last night’s episode of GTTV.

The portable version of the fourth game in the Sly Cooper franchise will launch on the same day as the console counterpart. Saves will be cross-compatibile to both systems.

Controls will be slightly different due to the PlayStation 3’s extra shoulder buttons and the Vita’s touch screen interface.

It was also revealed fan-favorite Carmelita will be included in the game.

There is no release date for the game as of yet, but it is expected to launch in 2012. Sony has also yet to reveal the price point of the game or if players will be able to get both versions of the game with a single purchase.

You can check out the game footage for yourself from last night’s episode over at GameTrailers.
