With only weeks left until the season finale, tonight’s episode was crazy! Check out our Sleepy Hollow season 1, episode 10 “The Golem” recap!

Baby mama
-Starts with Ichabod chopping wood. Yes, please show off your muscles, sir!
-Ichabod does not like the idea of Christmas trees, or calling egg & grog Eggnog.
-He wants to know why Katrina didn’t tell him about the kid; Abbie says it must be because it was important he didn’t know.
-Ichabod wants to contact Katrina, so he brought Henry Parish.
-Henry doesn’t think that he can reach Katrina, but Ichabod says he can.
-If Ichabod goes to the realm of the dead, he will be in mortal danger. Henry says is tempting fate, and great consequences will befall him.
-Henry starts choking Ichabod. The closer he is to death, the closer the distance is to travel.
-Ichabod finds Katrina and asks about his son, she explains what happens.
-Katrina left their son in the care of a pastor at the church, after making him a doll to make sure he was never alone.
-Katrina hasn’t seen her son since, and the purgatory is a replica of the church she left him.
-Her own Coven banished her to that church. Whaat?!
-Ichabod claims he will find out what happens to their son.
-Someone is banging on the church door, looking for Ichabod. Creepy demon! Gross.
-It was Abbie’s ancestor who took custody of Ichabod’s child, dang.
-Aaaand a creepy as hell demon just rose out from the ground. Of course…

Witchy, witchy!
-Abbie has an idea, they’re going to start at a library.
-Henry doesn’t have any other family, and Abbie tries to convince him to stay with them and help.
-They go to find more about Ichabod’s son, and the monster is watching. UGH.
-Captain Irving is asking a priest about the book of Revelations.
-Priest says that the witnesses are martyrs, and they are destined to die for their service. NOO! :(
-When Irving’s daughter got hit by a car, he stopped being religious.
-The woman who’d taken in Jeremy (Ichabod’s son) was trapped in the house after it started burning.
-Jeremy accidentally started the fire, he inherited Katrina’s powers.
-After Jeremy’s foster parents died, he got sent to a home.
-The librarian runs away, but she gets killed by the creepy demon thing.

Don’t mess with Jeremy, yo.
-Irving visits Macy and his ex wife. He apologizes for being gone so often. D’awww.
-Ichabod talks about how he doesn’t like how language has changed. Awful intercourse would’ve meant great conversation, hah!
-The librarian was a witch! Ahh! The box is having horrible affects on Henry, it reeks of anger and pain and death.
-There was a book with a drawing of the same doll that Katrina gave Jeremy. The priest who governed the orphanage that Jeremy went to was an evil man, and Henry can tell that Jeremy summoned the demon we saw earlier. We knew it looked familiar!
-Aww! The monster wouldn’t hurt Jeremy. Of course not!
-Jeremy’s toy zombie thing killed the librarian because she was a member of the coven who banished Katrina, his mom. Aw.

Who trusts an empty carnival?!
-Macy is trying to explain what Vine is to her dad. Hah, aw, just give up, girl.
-Some creepy thing took over the hot cocoa guy that Irving was gunna get hot chocolate from, and he attacks him.
-Then the thing switches bodies. Something is watching Irving and his daughter! OH NO!
-Ichabod is upset that he wasn’t there for his son, but Henry helps sooth him. Aw, they’re so good together!
-Ichabod then realizes that the bible Katrina gave him might have the answer. The doll is a Golem, a creature imbued with it’s creator’s passions.
-The librarian was visiting “The Four Who Speak as One”, the same witches who put Katrina in purgatory. Perhaps they can bring Katrina back!
-The four witches are part of a carnival act (…creepy) and the carnival is just out of town! They go to see if the witches can bring Katrina back.
-Ichabod goes to visit the witches alone. He sees their tent, but the ENTIRE frigin’ carnival is empty of all people. WARNING, HELLO. C’mon!
-The four women are creepy as heck, just like the rest of the show. They read Ichabod’s palm and see his past.
-It was foretold that Ichabod’s arrival will seal the witches’ fate. Tonight, they die. What?! They’re hundreds of years old?!

The Golem has feelings, too!
-Ichabod wants to save them, but the Four women’s destiny is to die.
-Death will come to them as a Golem, and Ichabod can save them.
-Katrina did the same and altered destiny, and it was the Four Who Speak As One’s duty to rectify it.
-They tried to help Jeremy, but he refused. The Four Who Speak As One tried to imprison Jeremy, but he was immune. So they buried him and put a hex to stop his heart.
-Jeremy’s blood gave the Golem life, and only his blood can end him.
-The Golem starts attacking everyone at the carnival. AHHH.
-Ichabod got stuck with a piece of glass, and Henry thinks that since his son’s blood comes from his blood, Crane can destroy it.
-The monster stops when Ichabod explains he’s Jeremy’s father. Queue emotional monologue! Aw! He’s begging the Golem to stop.
-The Golem almost falls for it, but attacks. Instead, Ichabod stabs him. HAH! Ichabod helps him be at peace.
-Maybe this is what Katrina gets for creating such a creepy-ass doll for her baby. *shudder*

Moloch, just STOP.
-Henry still wants to leave. At least now he believes that he was called to help them, aw!
-Abbie gives Ichabod a stocking, and Ichabod thinks it’s odd that she embroidered her name on oversizes hosiery. Ha!
-Aaand another mirror cracked. Showing some woods, it brings Ichabod there. Moloch is offering a warning, ah! Ichabod’s death is assured. He says Abbie’s soul will be his forever, and it’ll be Ichabod who gives it to him.
