Despite Sleepy Hollow having a rocky season 2, Fox shows its support for the series with a renewal for season 3.

Sleepy Hollow fans can let out a breath of relief knowing Ichabod will be back next fall! Despite the series losing its footing in the second season, and showrunner Mark Goffman, Fox has decided to give it another chance after an amazing second season finale.

It was also announced today that Clifton Campbell has signed on to act as executive producer and showrunner for Sleepy Hollow season 3. He previously worked as the creator and executive producer for The Glades and White Collar.

Speaking about the addition today, David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company commented, “I had the pleasure of working with Clifton on both The Glades and White Collar. He is an excellent producer, and we can’t wait to see what this team has in store for season three.”

Madden also expressed the reasons behind the decision for a renewal saying, “Sleepy Hollow is truly inventive television. The talented producers – led by Alex, Bob, Len and Heather – along with the brilliant cast, anchored by Nicole and Tom, have created a fantastic world that brings ‘history’ to life with compelling and vibrant storytelling.”

When Sleepy Hollow returns in the fall fans will see how the partnership between Ichabod Crane and Lieutenant Abbie Mills will evolve, plus some new challenges for the pair. We’re sure that Ichabod will also be dealing with the decision to kill his wife Katrina Crane.

Are you glad to see ‘Sleepy Hollow’ renewed for season 3?
