We have some brand new looks into the next episode of Sleepy Hollow, and it seems that Ichabod and Abbie have either met the Doctor and time travelled or are sharing yet another dream.

Sleepy Hollow season 1, episode 5 is titled “John Doe” and it will bring us yet another unknown evil force that wants to destroy Sleepy Hollow and bring Hell to the world above. The synopsis reads:

When an unidentified boy is discovered in Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod Crane and Lt. Abbie Mills are called to the scene. After speaking with the child, they immediately realize that something sinister and sickly is afoot and the duo go on a hunt to discover his home and origins – and are shocked by what they find in the all-new “John Doe” episode of SLEEPY HOLLOW airing Monday, Oct. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (SLH-105) (TV-14 V)

And there’s actually some information in the trailer for the episode that we don’t get from the synopsis. Check out the preview below.

From the promo above we know that the boy, seemingly from the same era as Ichabod’s, has unintentionally infected the residents of Sleepy Hollow with a mysterious and probably supernatural disease. We’re sure that the boy is probably just under the mind control of Moloch, the demon that is bringing all these evils up against Ichabod and Abbie, and not actually from the same era.

One of the more plausible explanations for Ichabod and Abbie’s whereabouts could be that the boy they met was part of some sort of Amish community, which brings them to the location of the community for questioning. It’s either that or they’ve somehow shared the same dream like they had in episode 3, “For the Triumph of Evil”. Personally, though, we’re just going to pretend the TARDIS brought them there. Just let us believe it.
