Sleepy Hollow returns in just four days and we’ve got some stills from the penultimate episode to get you by until Monday!

Sleepy Hollow season 1, episode 11 “The Vessel” returns on January 13, and it is the penultimate episode of the season before the show ends with the two hour season finale on January 20.

The final three episodes promise to bring a ton of action, plot twists and intrigue to the show, and we’re excited to see how this brand new show will end its first season.

The synopsis for episode 11, “The Vessel,” reads:

When Capt. Iriving’s daughter, Macy, becomes the target of evil forces, he makes a desperate plea to Crane and Mills for help, and seeks answers that lie within Washington’s Bible. Meanwhile, a frightening chapter of Jenny’s past is revealed in the all-new “The Vessel” episode of SLEEPY HOLLOW airing Monday, Jan. 13

Oh no! We hope Macy doesn’t get too caught up in this nasty business of demons, witches and ghosts – we’ve only just got Amandla Stenberg back and we wouldn’t want to see her die on screen yet again. Ideally we’d love to see her character visit the town of Sleepy Hollow more often, but not at the risk of her own life! Let’s hope that the gang can fight off whatever evil it is that’s after the captain’s daughter. [scrollGallery id=1579 autoScroll=false thumbsdown=true]

The stills don’t show us anything too thought-provoking, but it’s nice to see Ichabod strutting around modern Sleepy Hollow in his 18th century clothes. Seriously, guys, when will this dude buy some new threads?

In case you forgot

As a little reminder for those who can’t remember what happened so long ago in the year 2013, in episode 10, “The Golem”, we found out that Ichabod’s son, Jeremy, inherited his mother’s abilities as a witch and grew up to be quite the powerful young boy.

He was so powerful that Katrina’s coven, The Four Who Speak as One, tried to help him and get him on their side but he refused. After trying to kill Jeremy for refusing their help they found out he was immune to their powers, so they put a hex on him to stop his heart and buried him. Now Ichabod is on the search for where his son might be buried, in addition to the search for Katrina and his mission to stop the Four Horsemen to take over the world. Wow, that’s a lot on one guy’s plate, isn’t it?

Do you think Jeremy is still alive?

We’d like to speculate that even though the Four Who Speak as One put a hex on Jeremy to stop his heart, that he’s still alive and well and eventually both father and son will have been awakened in the wrong century. Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but boy wouldn’t that be a twist?
