The fall finale of Sleepy Hollow airs tonight and in it we’ll get to see how Ichabod and Abbie fare against one of Pandora’s allies.

Last week on ‘Sleepy Hollow’

Ichabod and Abbie had to deal with monsters that were raised from Pandora’s Box who were hell bent on killing Jenny, as she possessed the power of the shard of Anubis. Luckily, Ichabod and Abbie were able to stop these enemies rather easily, and keep Jenny alive so they can figure out how to get the power out of her.

Meanwhile, they also had to deal with the man who raised the monsters from the box, the kingpin of the supernatural smuggling ring. He claims that he’s under strict orders to get the shard and his boss makes Pandora look weak in comparison, but he was taken down by his ally, who ended up being an undercover FBI agent. Now Abbie is in trouble for interfering with an FBI investigation and they have to deal with yet another unknown enemy.

This week we might meet a god

The synopsis for the episode reads, “In the aftermath of Jenny and Joe’s run-in with Sophie, Abbie is in deep water with Reynolds. Meanwhile, the Witnesses deal with lasting implications of the shard and find themselves in grave danger as they come face-to-face with a greater evil than they could have imagined.”

It doesn’t give us much to go on but if the stills are any indication then the enemy we’re dealing with is likely the Greek god Cronos. We say this because in the trailer Ichabod says that they’re dealing with a living god.

Why do we believe it’s Cronos? Not only does it make sense for the enemy to be a Greek god since Pandora is of Greek origin, but the myth makes sense. Plus, in this week’s trailer we see the god handling a scythe and one of the only major gods to do that would be Cronos. Cronos is the god of time, father of several of the major Greek gods Demeter, Hestia, Hera, Hades, Poseidon and Zeus. It was the gods that created Pandora and her evil box, so it is only right that we see Pandora pair with an ancient god.
