We don’t know how many times Abbie had to be convinced, but she’s finally starting to realize evil is afoot in Sleepy Hollow once again, and tonight she and Ichabod embark to destroy a new mystery demon.
Last week we found ourselves reunited with Agent Abbie Mills, though she still prefers lieutenant, and Ichabod Crane. Crane had gone back to England for the previous nine months they’ve been apart to look at his family history and discovered a brand new tablet that explains yet another story about the two Witnesses. Abbie spent the episode denying that evil was back and that their roles as Witnesses was over, but, alas, they discovered something really is brewing back home.
We were also introduced to the fact that Betsy Ross was not just a seamstress but an actual undercover agent for the U.S. military and Ichabod’s old flame, and we also learned that Pandora’s box is a real thing. It looks like Pandora is set up to be the big baddie this year and we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve!
The synopsis for tonight’s episode reads, “When Pandora uses her powers to unleash a new form of evil, Abbie and Crane are forced to face their pasts in unexpected ways.”
This week we’re going to meet one of the two newly promoted series regulars, Daniel Reynolds. He’s set to be Abbie’s new boss, but Ichabod senses a friendship that is more than professional amongst the two according to the trailer. That should be interesting, as the entire fandom essentially ships Ichabod and Abbie. We wonder how long Abbie and Daniel are going to last, if at all.
This season is bound to be astounding and so far, despite the change in showrunners, it still feels the same as the previous two seasons. Although last week’s premiere came out to less than ideal ratings, we’ll see if this season can survive Thursday nights against Scandal as the year continues.
