Skyrim‘s downloadable content is due to be released for the PlayStation 3 next month, Bethesda has confirmed. The latest piece of DLC, Dragonborn is also due to be released next month on PC.
In a blog post on its official website Bethesda announced that Dragonborn will be the first downloadable content to be released on Sony’s console, with Dawnguard and Hearthfire to follow later in February.
The DLC will be available to download on the PlayStation Network, and during their launch weeks, each DLC will have its price halved.
Meanwhile, PC gamers will be able to purchase Dawnguard through Steam on February 5.
This announcement ends the agonising wait that PlayStation 3 users have suffered since the first of Skyrim‘s downloadable content, Dawnguard launched on Microsoft’s console in June last year. Technical issues halted the release of the PS3 version of the DLC, but clearly Bethesda have been able to solve these problems.
Elsewhere in the Elder Scrolls universe, Bethesda have begun teasing us about the sign-ups for the Elder Scrolls Online closed beta test.

Elder Scrolls Online is expected to launch sometime in 2013. It is unknown whether it will follow a subscription-based business model, if it will be a one time purchase (like The Secret World and Guild Wars 2), or if it will launch as a free-to-play title.
