Peter Jackson has kept Lord of The Rings fans waiting for The Hobbit ever since he left the Shire back in 2003 with a whole truckload of Oscars at his disposal. Now six more clips from the film have come online to whet the appetites of nerds that can’t get enough of a certain hobbit and his nephew.

The Hobbit follows an adventurous young Bilbo Baggins as he treks through a familiar landscape with a group of dwarves in order to help them reclaim their homeland. We were recently gifted with 27 hi-res images from the film, and so many TV spots that we could probably piece the entire film together ourselves if we had the book handy (which we do).

The last clip that we found saw Bilbo accepting his sword, Sting, from Gandalf. The sword makes a few appearances in the clips below, and an especially comical cameo in the first one below featuring Gollum, who is voiced and motion-captured by Andy Serkis.

“I Wasn’t Talking To You”

Bilbo and Gollum have a confrontation in a cave that will lead to riddles in the dark.

“Give Him The Contract”

Bilbo goes through the Dwarves’ contract, which is nice enough to include protocol in the case of incineration.

“Who Did You Tell About Your Quest?”

Gandalf, Bilbo and company realize that they are being hunted.

“There Is Nobody Home”

Bilbo receives a number of guests…even though he’s not home.

“Swords Are Named For The Great Deeds They Do”

As Elrond examines the weapons of the party, Bilbo considers naming his new weapon.

“Goblin Chase”

The company sees some action in a battle with goblins that are apparently familiar with the Wilhelm Scream (listen closely at 0:37 for the infamous sound bite).

What do you think of these brand new clips? Excited to see The Hobbit?
