Universal’s Sing 2 has recruited some of the biggest recording stars around to lend their voices to the highly anticipated animated sequel.

On Monday (December 21), Rolling Stone revealed that recording artists Halsey, Pharrell, and Bono of U2 have all singed on to join the cast of Universal’s Sing 2.

The forthcoming animated movie serves as a sequel to 2016’s Sing, which centers on a singing competition put on by a theater owner in an effort to save his struggling theater.

This time around, it seems like Buster Moon plans to take his sown on the road, with his all-star cast of animal performers preparing to launch their most dazzling stage extravaganza yet in the glittering entertainment capital of the world.

It’ll be easer said than done though. First and foremost because before they perform, they’ll have to persuade the world’s most reclusive rockstar (Bono) to join them.

Halsey, Pharrell, and Bono, aren’t the only newcomers joining the cast of Sing 2. Also set to lend their voices to the sequel are Letitia Wright, and comedians Eric Andre and Chelsea Peretti.

Today’s newest cast members join a star-studded slew of returning cast members who will once again lend their voices to familiar faces.

Specifically, Reese Witherspoon (mother pig, Rosita), Scarlett Johansson (rocker porcupine, Ash), Taron Egerton (Johnny the gorilla), Tori Kelly (shy elephant Meena), Nick Kroll (Gunter the pine provocateur), and Matthew McConaughey (Buster Moon the koala), have all signed on to reprise their roles.

Sing 2 hits theaters on December 22, 2021
