Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are starring in a new series together called Truth Seekers, which is headed to Amazon Prime.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have teamed up together in several projects from their work on the Cornetto Trilogy to their time together on the series Spaced. Now, the delightful duo is teaming up again to star in a new series called Truth Seekers, which is headed to Amazon.

According to Variety, Truth Seekers has Pegg and Frost playing paranormal investigators that team up to find and film paranormal events all over the United Kingdom. As the duo continue their work into the paranormal, their work becomes more terrifying and dangerous. Ultimately, the duo uncovers a conspiracy that threatens the entire human race.

Just as they did with Shaun of the Dead, Truth Seekers will be a horror-comedy. Frost and Pegg have shown the wonderful ability to both pay homage to a genre while also poking loving fun at it and being genuinely funny. It’s a fine line to walk, but these two have been able to do it effortlessly.

Of course, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost aren’t just teaming up in front of the camera. Not only are they starring in the show, but they are co-writing it, and Truth Seekers is the first project for their production company (founded with Miles Ketley) called Stolen Picture. The team founded the company in 2017 with Truth Seekers as their flagship project, and we’re all incredibly excited to see that project find a home.

Nick Frost expressed excitement over partnering with Amazon Prime in a statement to Variety, saying, “Simon, Miles and I, and everyone at Stolen Picture, are incredibly happy to be making Truth Seekers with our new partners, Amazon Prime Video. It’s been nothing but a joyride in seeing this mad tale of paranormal conspiracy unfold in all its understated brilliance. Amazon’s commitment and support of the show, and of original programming generally, showed us that we couldn’t be collaborating with a bigger or better team.”

We can’t wait to see what outrageous adventures are headed our way in Truth Seekers, and we are so excited to see Simon Pegg working onscreen together again. The show will have eight, half-hour episodes and is set to start production in September.
