Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are teaming yet again, behind the camera this time, for a brand new horror flick called Svalta.

Simon Pegg, Nick Frost (along with Miles Ketley)’s production company Stolen Picture has partnered with Orion Pictures to bring us a brand new tale of horror called Svalta. However, the dynamic duo will be teaming up offscreen this time.

As Deadline reports, Svalta will tell the story of a family on summer vacation on a remote island in Sweden called Svalta. When the family discovers that a serial killer is loose on the island and that the locals have no interest in helping the family, they must band together to survive.

Frost will pen the script for this new horror adventure, and Pegg will be working as producer. At this point, because the film is still in development there’s no word on who will star in the film, however, with Frost and Pegg behind the camera, you know this is going to be a great horror flick.

Pegg and Frost have worked with Orion on previous films like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Orion president John Hegeman said of the new partnership, “We are unbelievably excited to be partnering with Simon, Nick and Miles on Svalta. The story is scary, awesome and crazy, and their unique voice is perfect for this movie. We can’t wait to bring this to the big screen with them.”

Svalta marks the 20th anniversary of Pegg and Frost’s partnership. The two initially started working together on the cult classic series Spaced that premiered back in 1999. They launched Stolen Picture back in 2017, and teamed up with Ketley after snagging him from another production company.

Pegg and Frost always do great work together, and we can’t wait to see what outrageous adventures await us in Svalta. We’ll keep you posted as more news breaks from this movie.
