Following the Game of Thrones season 4 premiere on Sunday night HBO unveiled their latest half-hour comedy Silicon Valley.

The show follows a group of entrepreneurs who create a tech product that is quickly noticed by two potential investors. Throughout the following episodes, Richard and his group of nerdy friends deals with this sudden interest.

Hypable screened the first five episodes of Silicon Valley. We think it’s a strong comedy from Mike Judge but caution that those who aren’t tech savvy to a certain extent will have a hard time enjoying the show. For example, there are numerous references to various companies, CEOs, and other parts of the Bay Area that we think will be lost on most viewers. We think HBO is betting on the tech-literate community to drive this show’s viewership.

Nonetheless, Silicon Valley is a laugh out loud comedy that should be appreciated by the tech world for its interpretation of what happens when a little guy – a Mark Zuckerberg nervous nelly played by Thomas Middleditch – makes a stellar product.
