Dakota Fanning is gearing up to join Michelle Pfeiffer and Viola Davis in Showtime’s First Ladies.

According to Deadline, Showtime’s upcoming anthology series, First Ladies, has found its newest cast member in none other than Dakota Fanning.

Fanning joins the star-studded cast in the role of Susan Elizabeth Ford— President Gerald Ford and First Lady Betty Ford’s youngest child and only daughter. Susan was known for introducing progressive ideas to her family during their time in the White House back in the 1970s when President Ford was in office.

Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Pfeiffer have both previously signed on to play Gerald and Betty Ford, respectively, for the upcoming anthology series.

The series promises to “peel back the curtain on the personal and political lives of these enigmatic women.”

The anthology series’ first season will focus on Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford, and Michelle Obama.

Behind the camera, The Undoing’s Susanne Bier is set to serve as director and executive producer. Meanwhile, Aaron Cooley will serve as the anthology series’ writer.

Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect to see First Ladies debut via Showtime.
