So far Villainous’ runtime is only around six minutes in total, but a full series will hopefully be in the works soon.

Were you a fan of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy? Or maybe you got your grim fix from Invader Zim? Well, behold — a new series from Cartoon Network that’ll have you root for world domination!

In May of this year, 10 mini episodes emerged on Cartoon Network Latin America, YouTube, then Cartoon Network’s Anything App. Soon the flutter of excitement began. A new grim and silly cartoon reminiscent of many people’s favorite cartoons. Villains are the stars and hungry for power!

And of course you need the failed experiment that ends up being a lovable blue bear!

The cartoon is about an evil organization called The Black Hat Organization. Black Hat is the leader of the organization and is a master of evil, however not everything goes to plan and his evil schemes tend to end up with hilarious consequences.

Villainous was created by Alan Ituriel after his idea won the “Pitch Me Anything” contest hosted by Pixelatl and Cartoon Network. The relatively new animation festival is hopeful in bringing in a new generation of Mexican animators to international audiences.

One of the best parts of Villainous is it’s Cartoon Network’s first Mexican animation. The show is in Spanish with subtitles for English viewers. There are some English dubbed versions as well that can be found on YouTube. Regardless if you understand Spanish, the art is hard not to admire. Hand drawn and digitally colored, Villainous takes on the look of so many classic Cartoon Network’s shows.

Also, if you are a fan of YouTuber and gamer Markiplier, you should definitely check the show out because he voices the character 5.0.5 (the blue bear)! Could this series get any better?

Do you hope to see a full series of ‘Villainous’?
