Looking for a few great movies to watch on Netflix during holiday break? You’ll want to watch these 12, because they’re leaving the instant streaming service on January 1.

Netflix occasionally has to take movies off their site for contractual reasons, but at least they’re doing us the favor of letting us know which are disappearing and when.

The next few weeks will surely be a busy time for Netflix, because many customers (read: young adults) will be taking time off from school and looking to the internet to entertain them.

As of January 1, 2015, Netflix says these movies will be taken down:

Happy Gilmore
My Girl
Love Actually
Rocky
Spaceballs
The Breakfast Club
The Mighty Ducks
The Parent Trap
Saved!
Hitch
Bad Boys
Backdraft

Before you get too upset about The Parent Trap leaving Netflix, remember that there’s always a chance these will be returning later in the year. For example, Mean Girls appeared, then disappeared, and is coming back again as of January 1.

Speaking of new films and television coming to Netflix, look for Cast Away, Bruce Almighty, 101 Dalmatians (the live action one), and Friends (!!!) coming to the website on January 1.

We’ll share more about what’s coming to Netflix in a couple weeks.

We’re going to go ahead and assume that Love Actually will be at the top of many people’s lists. Not only is it a great film, it’s the perfect movie to watch this time of year.
