A YouTube channel has created a Sherlock musical which should delight fans thanks to its clever lyrics.

Created by YouTube channel, AVbyte, Sherlock – The Musical (Season 3) picks up during the series 3 premiere when Watson learns that Sherlock didn’t die after all. Like what we saw on the real show in January, what ensues is some sparring between the two beloved characters (played here by Travis Kent and Andrew Keenan-Bolger). The difference between the show and this fan musical is that they sing their frustrations in the latter.

The musical – which consists of just one song – cleverly employs the Sherlock theme you’ve heard so many times before on the BBC One drama starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.

Watch and enjoy using the YouTube video below. The lyrics are conveniently provided on screen so you can easily follow (or sing) along.

“Watson, I realized I need you,” one section of Sherlock’s lyrics go. “Come lets get out there one more time. Trust me, I think that I complete you. Now let’s solve some crimes.”

Sherlock series 3 aired in the U.S. and U.K. at the start of this year. Now all eyes are on when we can expect the next batch of episodes, and at least one report suggests it’ll be filming later this year for a Christmas 2014 debut. Take the report with a grain of salt for now.

Could we see a real Sherlock musical one day? We’re sure Steven Moffat would at least consider it. Maybe someone will pose the question to one of the creators at the first ever official Sherlock convention.
