She-Ra and the Princesses of Power released a short teaser trailer for season 4 this weekend at NYCC, along with the release date for the upcoming season.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power had quite an action-packed third season, which culminated in a lot of changes for Adora, Catra, and their friends, as well as for Etheria, the Rebellion and The Horde in general.

We’ll be able to see how those changes impact our favorite characters and their storylines in the upcoming fourth season, which we learned all about this past weekend at NYCC.

The show brought showrunner Noelle Stevenson and the cast to dish about the new season, and dropped a brand new teaser trailer.

Check it out below, followed by the official She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 4 synopsis.

Season 4 begins with the respective rises of Queen Glimmer as leader of the Rebellion and Catra as co-leader of the Horde. As the Horde makes advances on the Rebellion under the looming threat of Horde Prime’s arrival, the Princess Alliance makes heroic strides but begins to disagree on the best way to defend Etheria. Ultimately, a shocking discovery about Etheria itself causes Adora to reconsider everything she thought she knew.

Unlike the past two seasons, season 4 of She-Ra will not be shortened — meaning that we’ll have 13 episodes to watch the story unfold.

Which is great, considering all the big changes and new roles the show will need to address from the third season. At the NYCC panel, Stevenson confirmed there will be a time jump between seasons, though it won’t be a major one. We also learned that the new season will feature a new character named Double Trouble, seen in the trailer as a green Elven-looking figure who Stevenson described as a nonbinary shapeshifting mercenary. Double Trouble was brought in by Catra as protection and counsel.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power season 4 will premiere on Netflix on November 5!
