Netflix has released the first full trailer for the upcoming fifth and final season of the acclaimed animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power!

Season 5 of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power finds She-Ra and the members of the Rebellion in their most dire straits yet.

The Horde Prime and his cruel fleet have found Etheria, which is now vulnerable to his attack. With She-Ra’s sword broken — seemingly cutting Adora off from being able to transform — things have never seemed bleaker for the rebellion.

In this epic conclusion, unexpected adversaries are confronted and relationships are tested, broken and changed forever. The final season will test whether Adora and the Princesses of Power be able to save their planet, or if the universe will succumb to the evil might of Horde Prime before love can conquer hate.

Showrunner Noelle Stevenson described season 5 as being “a self-contained world in a self-contained struggle, where the sides of dark and light seemed well-defined at the beginning. But immediately those lines started getting blurred: Characters switched sides, characters who you thought were evil became good and good became evil, and then we started questioning what good and evil even means here.”

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power surprised fans earlier this year when it announced that its upcoming fifth season would be its last, leaving fans worried that they might not get a resolution to the show.

However, showrunner Noelle Stevenson stated that she knew from the very beginning that the show would run for five seasons.

“It has been such an incredible journey so far just getting to share these seasons that are already out and seeing the reactions,” Stevenson said in the interview with EW. “I do feel very lucky because we knew from the very beginning what our episode order was, so we got to tailor the story very specifically to how long the show was gonna be.”

The final season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power comes to Netflix, May 15!
