She & Him have released the first single off their upcoming album, Volume 3!

The indie pop duo comprised of members M. Ward and New Girl actress Zooey Deschanel couldn’t have picked a better single to release with Spring just around the corner.
“Never Wanted Your Love” is an upbeat whimsical combination of strings and drum beats that fits into She & Him’s retro sounding repertoire perfectly.
The lyrics themselves bring to mind themes of stubborn love.
“Take a win, take a fall, I never wanted your love but I needed it all,” sings Deschsanel playfully in the song’s chorus.
All in all, “Never Wanted Your Love” brings to mind memories of lazy, sunny days, making it a perfect addition to anyone’s Spring or Summer playlists!
The band’s third studio album, appropriately titled Volume 3, is slated to be released on May 7 and will feature 11 new original tracks by Ward and Deschanel, plus three cover songs.
