Last week we told you that Sharon Osbourne was leaving America’s Got Talent, but we didn’t know why. We now know that she doesn’t know if she’s coming back or not, but she hasn’t been offered a contract for next year.
It had seemed that Osbourne was leaving AGT after she sent out this tweet last week:

She never did finish that tweet and say why she was leaving. It appears she thinks she’s leaving because she has yet to be offered her job back. Speaking to US Weekly, Osboune had this to say:
They’ve asked Howard back, they haven’t asked me back. So, who knows in this business?
We think that NBC is probably pushing hard after Stern this early because they want to make sure he’s back for next year. We think that he’s a priority at the moment because he’s at least as likely to leave as he is to stay. We imagine they don’t see the same immediacy with Osbourne since she’s been on the show for six seasons and would be more likely to return than Stern would.
That being said, she doesn’t know if she’d return if asked or not.
Six years is a long time to be on any show. I love the show. It is actually personally my favorite show on TV. I love what the show does, I love the people I work with. But I would have to think about me, I have to think about what I want to do. I don’t know [if I’d return].
