Sharknado 2: The Second One premieres tonight on Syfy. Here’s what we know!

When Syfy commissioned the production of Sharknado, little did they know that it would become one of their most successful made for TV B-movies ever. Though the initial airing of the film brought in only 1.37 million viewers, the word of mouth that came out of it caused it to have 1.89 million viewers in a subsequent airing and later 2.1 million viewers in an airing after that. This allowed for Sharknado to become their most watched original movie ever.

Because of this, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Sharknado 2: The Second One is able to see a similar success. After coming to streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime, it’s possible Sharknado 2: The Second One will have a big audience waiting for more.
