Filming continues on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in New York City, and today we get our first look at the highly anticipated addition to the franchise: Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson.
As seen in the photos below, Woodley is sporting red hair and was spotted walking to and from the set:

Kirsten Dunst played the role in the Tobey Maguire-led trilogy last decade. The two actresses taking on the role are obviously very different from one another, but then again so is the entire set of actors and actresses!
Just yesterday on-set photos unveiled Andrew Garfield suited up. Presumably more photos will continue to surface as outdoor filming continues and the paparazzi keep a trained eye on the set.
Woodley’s career has been on fire lately. She will take on the role of Tris in Divergent and is up for the role of Hazel in The Fault in Our Stars movie.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be hitting theaters in 3D on May 2, 2014. Stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will be returning as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, and Shailene Woodley will be joining them as Mary Jane Watson, along with Jamie Foxx (Electro), Sally Fields, Paul Giamatti, and Colm Feore.
