Over the past year we’ve seen some pretty sexy men on our screens, both big and small, no innuendo intended. We thought we’d share our picks for the 12 sexiest men that steamed up our living rooms and Tumblr streams!
Let us be clear about the rankings on this one: These are all actors who’ve had major roles or been in some sort of central plot line on their respective TV shows/movies. There’s a reason we didn’t include people like Darren Criss or Ian Somerhalder, and it’s because we’re used to seeing their hotness. Let’s give the new guys a chance, shall we?

Stephen Amell
Arrow was one of the most highly anticipated TV shows this fall, and we probably weren’t the only ones who saw the ads and got persuaded to watch it solely for Stephen Amell…right? Even if that’s not the case, you can’t argue with the fact that he is one piece of eye candy most of us love.
Dean Geyer
Oh, Brody, how we love you. As one of the newest characters from Glee, Dean Geyer definitely helped spice this season up as a love interest for Rachel. We thank Ryan Murphy for introducing him the way he did, literally steaming hot straight from the shower.
If you’re reading this, Ryan, more shower scenes please!
Adam Levine
The singer turned actor made his debut on American Horror Story this season, and even though we didn’t get enough of him as we’d like, we still loved being able to see him on something other than The Voice. Arguably one of the hottest lead singers of any band this year, Adam Levine has definitely made an impression on our easily impressionable hearts.
Matt Lauria
Those of you who don’t watch Parenthood may not recognize him, but this post might make you check it out, just to see that face. He plays Ryan, an ex-army man who’s come to fall in love with Amber this season just as we’ve fallen in love with him. There’s even a scene where he and Amber go wading at the beach.
If that doesn’t make you realize how beautiful he is…we don’t know what will.
Rupert Friend
Not only does Rupert have amazing eyes but he plays one of the most complex and coolest characters we’ve seen on television. We love him on Homeland, and especially love his baddassery. Yes, that’s a word. There’s just something about Rupert that makes us go head-over-heels, and we’re not sure what it is. Maybe it was the moment in Homeland season 2 where we saw his bare behind? You know the writers of the show added that in just for us Friend fans.

JD Pardo
Revolution is one of the hottest shows of the season, and amongst the hottest men in the NBC drama is JD Pardo. He’s kind of like a real-world (or as real as you can get in a TV show) version of Gale from The Hunger Games, only he’s on the more evil side of the fence.
Richard Armitage
Step aside, Legolas! Lord of the Rings fans have long been accustomed to dwarves like LOTR’s Gimli – gruffly badass with a dose of hilarious, but not exactly heartthrob-worthy. Stepping into the role of Thorin Oakensheild however, Richard Armitage inspired a complete reevaluation on dwarvish potential for hotness. With his regal bearing, smoldering eyes, and skin that glowed like the freaking Arkenstone, Thorin proved that prettiness is no longer the realm of only elves and men.
And that size is highly overrated.
Colton Haynes
Teen Wolf fans were highly disappointed that they won’t get to see Colton reprise his role as Jackson next season, but luckily we’ll get to see him on Arrow soon – which might not quench our thirsts for his amazingly sexy self. Here’s to hoping that he’ll have just as many shirtless scenes in Arrow as he did in Teen Wolf!
Liam Hemsworth
This year we finally got to see the movie we’ve all been waiting for, The Hunger Games, and Liam Hemsworth made us swoon portraying Gale, Katniss’s best friend. We’re also in love with his brother Chris, who plays Thor in The Avengers, but we had to give Gale the spot in this top 12 list seeing as we already have one other Avenger representing the sexiest heroes. We’re excited to see more of Liam when his role of Gale really becomes prominent in Mockingjay.

Bradley James
With the beloved Merlin series ending just two days ago, how can we not pick someone from that beautiful cast? It was a hard choice, between Colin Morgan and Eoin Macken, but we had to pick our King. Especially after the emotions and feels from the finale, we had to give tribute to the Once and Future King. Hopefully this show isn’t going to be the last thing we see these actors in.
Chris Evans
This year we saw what was arguably the best superhero movie of all time: The Avengers. In it we got to see the massively sexy Captain America, played Chris Evans. He’s definitely one of the hottest men we’ve seen on screen this year, and we can’t wait to see more of him in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers 2!
