The Baudelaires are back for another adventure in season 2 of Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Netflix used New Year’s Day to begin 2018 on a high note (or an unfortunate one) with the launch of the first trailer and official release date for season 2 of A Series of Unfortunate Events. But since we’re talking about Lemony Snicket here, the release was a bit…unconventional.

First, Netflix released a tweet that contained clues to a URL, VerseFluctuationDeclaration.com.

From there, the site lead you to Netflix to confirm the series’ March 30 premiere. It also gives a quick look at what’s to come in season 2. Take a peek at the trailer, if you dare!

The trailer kicks off with Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) welcoming us all to another season of unfortunate craziness. He’s also sharpening some pretty scary-looking knives before introducing the trailer, but I’m sure that it’s nothing we need to worry about, right?

Count Olaf is, of course, the greedy uncle of the Beaudelaire children who initially takes the kids in upon the death of their parents. However, Olaf isn’t exactly concerned with parenting; he’s more concerned about snagging the children’s inheritance. From the looks of the trailer, he’s up to even more evil plots against the Beadelaires in season 2.

If you haven’t watched the first season, all 8 episodes are on Netflix. There’s still time to get caught up before season 2 drops on March 30!
