With Sense8 season 2 coming out so soon, we’re gearing up for our coverage and we need your help! We need eight fans from all over the world to give us their unique insights.

Fans of Sense8 know how amazing it can be when you take people from all over the world and put them together, even while they’re still in their respective hometowns. And that’s the amazing thing about the show, it actually films in those eight locations worldwide.

Sense8 does a great job at representing different cultures on TV, and we want to celebrate that by finding eight fans who hail from the same countries as each character. That’s where you come in!

What are we looking for?

We want to know how the fans in each of these countries feel about how they’re being represented. Do you love the way your culture is shown on a major network like Netflix? Do you wish they did something different?

Whether you like your country’s representation or if you hate it, we want to hear what you think.

The characters in Sense8 are from:

  1. San Francisco, California
  2. Chicago, Illinois
  3. Seoul, South Korea
  4. Nairobi, Kenya
  5. Mumbai, India
  6. Reykjavik, Iceland
  7. Mexico City, Mexico
  8. Berlin, Germany

Bonus points if you’re actually from the same city as well, but you don’t have to to be. We’re just looking for someone from the same country/region (With the exception of San Francisco and Chicago. We’ll want someone from each of those specific cities since we’re already based in the U.S.).

What do you need to do?

Email Tariq Kyle with a blurb of 300 words or less explaining to us who you are, where you’re from and most importantly: How do you feel your culture is represented in Sense8?

Don’t be afraid to tell us about the things you don’t like, but make sure your thoughts are constructive!

If you don’t like the way a certain city/event/tradition was portrayed then tell us how you would have liked it, and teach us how it’s supposed to be – we want to learn about you and your culture.

Have a friend who watches the show but doesn’t know how to write in English? If you know the language have them write it in their first language and translate it for them, then send it along! We’ll include both versions in our finished piece.

The best eight responses will be picked for an upcoming article to be released later this month, and we’ll notify you if you’re selected. The deadline is midnight on April 27, so be sure to get your entries in soon.

Update 4/24: We’re still looking for submissions from Kenya, South Korea, Chicago, Iceland and San Francisco! If you know anyone in or around those countries let them know.

‘Sense8’ fans, we need you!

If you don’t live in any of these countries or cities but you know someone who does, send them this article. Thank you!
