With only a few episodes of Selfie left, Henry and Eliza are headed towards a resolution. But will it satisfy fans?

It can’t be said enough how grateful we are that ABC and Hulu are releasing the remaining episodes of Selfie online following its cancellation.

We’ll see all 13 episodes of the first and only season, and we definitely would have lost out on some of the show’s finest moments if that hadn’t been the case.

Unfortunately Selfie season 1, episode 11 didn’t exactly live up to the high standard set over the last two weeks, as it is becoming increasingly clear that Emily Kapnek and her team are working with limited resources.

The plotlines this week were confusing and incomplete, the editing felt choppy, and it seemed like the crew wasn’t able to go back and add some much-needed pick-up shots.

Still, it was an entertaining episode, which just gave us more material for our Henry/Eliza fanvids.

The two intersecting storylines of “Perestroika” were Eliza abandoning her apartment after failing to pay her bills, and Henry trying to find out who had given him a negative performance review.

After Henry rejected Eliza at last week’s office karaoke party, it seems she’s gone back to Freddy, whom she brought with her to a hotel (for a bit of a random party montage).

But tensions between Henry and Eliza are still running high, especially after he finds her camping out in his office. He invites her to stay at his house – and proceeds to lie about going to Julia’s.

The lie (which suddenly includes role playing, and Henry’s terrible attempt at feigning an impending sexytime) holds only until Julia shows up at Henry’s door. She has a bit of a stare-off with Eliza (who she, of course, assumes is sleeping with Henry).

Presumably this is the last we’ll see of Allison Miller’s character, and while we don’t want too many things keeping Eliza and Henry apart, we’re still sad to see her go.

The episode ends with Eliza in bed with Freddy, wondering why he didn’t ask her to stay with him when she was “homeless.”

We guess their drunk hook-up last week has brought them back together for good, and Eliza doesn’t even balk when he hints that he wants her to move in with him.

#TeamFreddy, we guess? Oh Henry, just admit your feelings already! You’ve only got two episodes left!

Episode highlights

As we said, this wasn’t the show’s strongest episode by a long shot, but there were some gems:

– Henry Potter: We’re suckers for Harry Potter references, so Henry referring to himself as “Henry Potter,” and ragging on Hufflepuff (not that we approve of that) was hilarious. Plus, it makes sense for Henry to be Harry – Eliza would make a great Ginny.

– More Raj (please and thank you): A cute scene with Raj this week makes us wish (not for the first time) that he could have had a bigger role in the show!

– Eliza’s Gone Girl re-enactment: It was random and too fast, but we laughed out loud seeing her suddenly on the floor covered in ketchup.

– Charlie was raised in a barn: Henry’s secretary has been criminally underused until this episode, where he finally got a small chance to shine. He shares his backstory with Henry, before finally being revealed as the author of the scathing review. Too bad this storyline was so chopped up, because we’re sure it could have been even funnier.

‘Selfie’ season 1, episode 12 will be released on Hulu and ABC.com next Tuesday (Dec. 23). Are you enjoying the unaired episodes?
