Selena Gomez is heading to Hulu for a brand new original comedy series!

During Friday’s (August 7) press tour in Los Angeles, Hulu announced that actress and recording artist Selena Gomez had officially signed on to join the cast of its upcoming comedy series, Only Murders in the Building.

Gomez’s involvement in the project will find her starring opposite comedic legends Steve Martin and Martin Short, both of whom had previously signed on to star in the series.

Co-created and written by Martin and Grace & Frankie vet John Hoffman, Only Murders in the Building tells the story of three strangers who happen to share an obsession with true crime. Things take a very real turn when they the trio find themselves wrapped up in one, however.

Martin, Short, and Gomez are set to play the three true crime-loving strangers. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be much more information out that clues us in to a bit more with regards to what we can expect from their respective characters.

In addition to starring in the forthcoming Hulu original, Gomez will also serve as a producer on the project along with Short, This Is Us vet Dan Fogleman, and Jess Rosenthal. Martin and Hoffman will also serve as executive producers on the project.

2020 has been a busy year thus far for Gomez, who kicked off the new decade by releasing her newest full length album, Rare. On the television front, June saw the return of the final season of Netflix’s popular, yet controversial drama, 13 Reasons Why. Gomez has served as a producer on the drama since its first season premiered back in 2017.

Currently, there’s no word with regards to when we can expect Only Murders in the Building starring Selena Gomez, Martin Short, and Steve Martin, to debut via Hulu.
