Seinfeld fans rejoice! Netflix has finally revealed when you’ll be able to binge the series in its entirety.

Netflix kicked off September with a fantastic surprise for fans of Seinfeld.

On Wednesday (September 1), the streamer officially announced that all nine seasons of the iconic sitcom would be available to watch via their platform beginning next month on October 1.

Netflix broke the big news via a press release which jokingly referred to the beloved show as a brand new series created by “rising New York comedian” Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David.

“This is the first tine we’ve taken a risk of this nature, going all in on 9 seasons at the jump,” joked Netflix head Ted Sarandos of the streamer’s newest acquisition. “But Jerry has created something special with this sitcom that nobody has ever done. I truly think he and Mr. David have enormous futures ahead of them and I’m thrilled that Netflix could be home for them to grow their fanbases.”

Meanwhile, Seinfeld himself kept the joke going in a statement of his own ing which he thanked the online streaming giant for giving him and fellow series co-creator, Larry David, a shot.

“It takes a lot of gust to trust two schmucks who literally had zero experience in television when we made this thing,” said the comedian. “We really got carried away, I guess. I didn’t realize we made so many of them. Hope to recoup god knows how many millions it must have taken to do. But worth all the work if people like it. Crazy project.”

In addition, Netflix took to its official Twitter account to spread the word of the upcoming release with fans far and wide. Check out a teaser trailer for the release below!

Featuring an unforgettable ensemble cast comprised of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards, and Jason Alexander, Seinfeld ran for a total of 180 episodes before wrapping production in May of 1998.

The series’ forthcoming debut on Netflix marks the first time every episode of the show will be available to stream on a single service. It’ll be available in 4K, and per the press release, will be bookended by Seinfeld’s stand-up material.

Seinfeld will be available to binge via Netflix on October 1, 2021.
