Rob Thomas took to email Kickstarter backers and let them in on a few more details regarding the second Veronica Mars novel as well tease a couple of plot points. See what he had to say below!

If you were one of the many fans to read the first Veronica Mars novel then you may have been a bit disappointed that is was lacking one of the show’s main characters, Logan Echolls. Logan is not only Veronica’s main love interest in the Veronica Mars universe but he is a constant source of comic relief with his snarky-yet-lovable dialogue. So it came to no surprise that many people were a bit disappointed that his character was reduced down to a handful of emails and Skye conversations.

Apparently fans have not been quiet about their disappointment. So when the show’s creator, Rob Thomas, revealed details about the upcoming novel in an email to Kickstarter backers he made sure to confront the most important question of “Will there be more Logan in the second book?”

“If you fell into that camp,” Rob addressed in his email. “Then you’ll be pleased to know that you can expect a lot more Logan in Mr. Kiss-And-Tell, the follow up novel, which we’re on schedule to release late this year.”

We don’t know about you, but we’re pretty relieved to hear this news. The lack of Logan’s presence really wasn’t cutting it for us in the last book.

He also went on to say, “It will take place a few months after the events of The Thousand Dollar Tan Line. And for those of you wondering about some of the unanswered questions raised in the movie — Who was responsible for *****’s murder? Who planted a gun on ******? — the book will also return to those questions.”

We love how the novels continue to tie into the movies and leave no mystery hanging in the balance.

If you still have yet to read the Veronica Mars novel then make sure you read our spoiler-free review of The Thousand Dollar Tan Line so we can convince you to hop on the bandwagon.

Are you relieved to hear that there will be more Logan in the second novel?
