Captain America star Sebastian Stan is co-starring with Taissa Farmiga in a murder mystery thriller titled We Have Always Lived in the Castle.

The Winter Soldier may be on ice, but Sebastian Stan is on fire. (Sorry. Except not at all.)

Stan’s next project is an adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s 1962 novel of the same name, directed by Stacie Passon (Concussion). Passon also co-wrote the script with Mark Kruger.

The movie also stars Taissa Farmiga, who plays main character Merricat Blackwood, a practitioner of sympathetic magic.

In the novel, Merricat is one of the surviving members of the Blackwood family, who lives on the family estate with her sister Constance and her uncle Julian.

Six years before the story starts, the majority of the Blackwood family was killed by arsenic, which had been sprinkled into the family sugar. Everyone thinks Constance committed the crime, though whether she is the true killer is a mystery the movie will explore.

Sebastian Stan plays Merricat’s cousin Charles, who comes to town with a nefarious purpose.

Via The Hollywood Reporter, We Have Always Lived in the Castle just started filming in Ireland. There are some set pictures over on ComingSoon.net.

We Have Always Lived in the Castle also stars Alexandra Daddario and Willem Dafoe, and counts Michael Douglas as one of its producers. The movie does not yet have a release date.

For more Sebastian Stan, keep an eye on I’m Not Here, the indie film also starring J.K. Simmons and Maika Monroe. Stan is also set to appear in Avengers: Infinity War – Part 1, out in theaters in 2018.
