Sebastian Stan has been cast in Steven Soderbergh’s new Ocean’s Eleven-esque film Logan Lucky.

Doors keep opening for Captain America star Sebastian Stan!

After recently nabbing a role in the adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s We Have Always Lived in the Castle, The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Stan will be joining Steven Soderbergh’s latest project Logan Lucky.

The NASCAR-themed heist movie strikes a similar cord to Soderbergh’s 2001 hit Ocean’s Eleven. Logan Lucky centers on two brothers who plan a crime during a race in Charlotte, NC.

Stan will be playing a three-time Sprint Cup Champion driver who is returning to the sport after some time away.

The young actor joins an already impressive cast, including Daniel Craig, Hilary Swank, Channing Tatum, Katherine Heigl, Adam Driver and Seth MacFarlane.

The ensemble rounds itself out with additional up and coming actors Jack Quaid (Vinyl) and Brian Gleeson, brother of Star Wars and Ex Machina actor Domhnall Gleeson.

Furthermore, Soderbergh has partnered with NASCAR to bring as much authenticity to the film as possible.

Vice president of entertainment marketing and content development for NASCAR, Zane Stoddard, had this to say when announcing the team up:

“We are excited to work with Steven, Channing and all of Logan Lucky’s incredible cast and producers. It’s a big-hearted, fun story that showcases NASCAR and Charlotte Motor Speedway as the world-class sports entertainment property and venue that they are, much like the Bellagio in Steven’s Ocean’s Eleven.”

Logan Lucky is currently shooting in Atlanta, Georgia.
