The final sketch of tonight’s season finale of Saturday Night Live featured a send-off of the Oscar-nominated funny woman Kristen Wiig.

Though there had been no official confirmation about Wiig’s departure, after the final sketch of the season, it’s very clear that this was Kristen Wiig’s swan song.

Posed as a teacher speaking at graduation, tonight’s host and musical guest Mick Jagger thanks a student named “Tristen” for her seven years in high school. Kristen takes the stage and rips off her cap and gown, as the sketch transforms in to Mick Jagger performing “She’s a Rainbow” and “Ruby Tuesday” as each cast member takes turns dancing with her. Finally, show creator Lorne Michaels got the final dance before Mick Jagger bowed and closed season 37.

There were also rumors that this was Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis’ last episodes as well, though there were no sketches in their honor tonight.

No official word has been made about the future of any of the SNL cast members from NBC as of yet, but we’ll be sure to report when the announcements come rolling in.

Kristen Wiig was a pivotal figure for both women and comedy in the last seven years and she will truly be missed by her fans. Will you miss Kristen Wiig?

Thanks to Lyndsay!
