The season 4 trailer for Outlander is here, and this season it’s taking us all the way to River Run, North Carolina!

Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) have finally made it to the famed River Run, and have given us a look at Jocasta’s (Maria Doyle Kennedy) impressive digs there. While Claire and Jamie are focused on building themselves a new home together, the trailer doesn’t make it seem like it will be an entirely easy journey for our favorite couple.

With a new home comes a whole new set of adventures and challenges as they fight for a place they can finally call home. The trailer gives us a peek at some of the new faces the two will encounter, and we get glimpses of them in the trailer.

Season 4 has been talked about a great deal by fans as it means the show will welcome several Native American characters, which are being played by, as Radio Times reports, over 100 First Nations Canadians who were selected to play the roles. Executive producer Matthew B. Roberts told Radio Times that getting the world of the Cherokee and Mohawk Nations right in season 4 was important to him, and he was happy to bring “a great team” from Canada to fill those speaking and non-speaking Native American roles.

And while the new faces added to the mix are great, it seems Jamie and Claire can’t just settle easily into a new place, and the two will encounter quite a grim warning as they strive to find a place to call their own. The trailer shows Claire discovering a human skull with silver fillings (something that wouldn’t be invented until years later), we get quite an ominous sense of foreboding of what’s to come for the couple.

We still have a bit of a wait to check back in with the two and their North Carolina adventures. Season 4 of Outlander is set to return to Starz in November of 2018.
