Another Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters behind-the-scenes clip has landed online, and this time Logan Lerman’s co-stars can’t stop gushing about the lead.

And why would they? Lerman has proven his chops even at the young age of 21, and it’s definitely something his co-stars have noticed. You can watch the short clip from the Sea of Monsters Blu-ray edition below, thanks to J-14.

“Logan is unaware of how capable he is,” saying Leven Rambin, who plays Clarisse in the Lightning Thief sequel. “He’s also very self-deprecating and self-conscious and so natural. And I was like, ‘How am I going to be mean to this kid?'”

Well, she certainly pulled it off in the film, as Rambin was the perfect Clarisse in character (if maybe not in looks). The actress says that Logan’s aforementioned qualities actually made it easier to be the bully she’s meant to portray, saying, “The closer we are as friends, the more I feel comfortable to push him.”

Douglas Smith, who plays Percy’s one-eyed brother Tyson, talks about how similar he is to Lerman, especially when it comes to their musical taste. “We can talk about music quite endlessly,” he says. “He’s a good guitar player, and I like to play guitar.”

The clip ends there, but this is undoubtedly just a small snippet of what’s to come in the behind-the-scenes features that you can find on the Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters DVD/Blu-ray editions, which were released on December 17.

In a previous behind-the-scenes clip, we got to see how the team behind Tyson came up with what the cyclops would look like and how they used both prosthetic and digital effects to make the character come to life.

Sea of Monsters released in August amidst a mostly positive reaction from fans, who enjoyed the more loyal adaptation of Rick Riordan’s series than was offered in the first movie, The Lightning Thief.
