Scream season 2 is just days away, and while we wait in horrified anticipation, I’ve got some teasers about the sophomore season premiere. Are you ready?
- We learn more about Audrey’s involvement. Remember those letters she burned at the end of season 1? We get a little peek at what’s inside them, and it reveals some of Audrey’s motives for writing to Piper. Whether those motives are good or bad will have to wait until you see the premiere!
- One of the Lakewood Six gets attacked. No one is safe on a show like Scream, and that’s especially true for the newly-coined Lakewood Six, which includes Emma, Audrey, Noah, Jake, Kieran, and Brooke. One of them is going to meet the business end of something pointy, but will they live to tell the tale?
- Pigs continue to be kind of important. Remember in season 1 when Emma’s mother got a pig heart in the mail, and again later when we saw the decaying carcass in the abandoned hospital? Pigs definitely have a significance, and you’ll see a few different incarnations within the first episode alone. Cute, pink little animals have never been so terrifying.
- Something from Emma’s past is coming back to haunt her. Audrey is going to be a big part of this season’s focus, but Emma is the Final Girl. Her story isn’t over, and just like we dove into her childhood in season 1, we’re going back for season 2. Is this the surprise Piper was talking about in the finale?
- It’s self-referential, as always. This isn’t exactly a spoiler, but it’s still worth mentioning. I’m paying close attention to the parts that get super meta, especially when Noah is speaking. Anything they say in regards to how slasher movies operate can be considered foreshadowing, so start taking notes. It might help you figure out who the killer is.
