Teen Wolf‘s Scott McCall, will be getting a tattoo in the first episode of season 3, but what’s its significance? Tyler Posey doesn’t even know yet!

In an interview with Clevver TV, below, Tyler Posey talks about what’s in store for his character in season 3.

The first question that’s brought up is what the significance of Scott’s tattoo is. Unfortunately, Posey can’t tell us, because even he doesn’t know! He does say, however, that,”there is a big, big-time meaning, but I don’t know what that is.”

At the time of this interview, the show has filmed up to about episode 9. That means that nine episodes have gone by without Scott knowing what his tattoo could mean. That definitely poses a lot of questions. Why did he get the tattoo? Did he get it willingly? If not, who gave it to him and why? It sure makes the mystery surrounding the tattoo a lot more interesting.

There’s no word yet on when we’ll be learning more about the tattoo. The first episode of the season is titled “Tattoo,” so it looks like that’s when we’ll first see it. Perhaps creator Jeff Davis will hold out on answering that mystery until episode 3×12, when the first half of the season comes to an end. Or maybe he’ll hold out until the finale of season 3.

In addition, Clevver TV also spoke to Dylan O’Brien (Stiles). While he doesn’t reveal anything too significant, he does hint that a character that wasn’t a werewolf before will become one this season.

We got a previous hint of this from Davis when he did a Tumblr Q&A. The interesting part is that this person will not become a werewolf in the typical way. So, does that mean we can expect a new werewolf to grace Beacon Hills by episode 9?

Are you disappointed we won’t be learning about the tattoo for a while, or do you like the mystery?
