The wait is finally over! Fox released the first trailer for The Maze Runner sequel The Scorch Trials this morning!
The moment Maze Runner fans have been waiting for has arrived. So without further ado, check out the Scorch Trials trailer below:
Desert, and Gladers, and guns! Oh my!
There looks like a bit of everything in this film. Conspiracy, science fiction, apocalyptic world, romance, action, and combat!
Quite a jam packed trailer to say the least!
The biggest shock however, is that we see very little of the newest addition to the Maze Runner world, the Cranks. Perhaps Ball is choosing to keep them under wraps until the movie’s debut. Much like he did with the Grievers. Either way, they’re sure to be quite frightening.
In a recent Radio Times interview, Dashner had this to say about the creatures, “The Grievers are just big monsters, so they’re scary, but not horrifying. But the fact that you can still see the humanity in the Cranks makes them all the scarier. So they’re going to give people nightmares.”
Lovely…
But while the Gladers are running from the Cranks, it looks like they may have some other demons to face as well. Both internally and externally.
Also released this week, the official Scorch Trials movie poster.
The image is actually quite reminiscent to the concept art Ball debuted back at San Degio Comic-Con last year. In fact, apart from the finer details, little to nothing has been changed. Suggesting that he’s held a strong image of what this film should look like for quite some time.
