Today United States Hunger Games publisher Scholastic announced the latest figures for Suzanne Collins’ trilogy.

Between the three books, there are now more than 50 million copies in print in the United States. “More than 23 million copies of The Hunger Games; more than 14 million copies of Catching Fire; and more than 13 million copies of Mockingjay,” they state.

The last time Scholastic released figures was in March (post film release) when 36.5 million books were in print. That means roughly 15 million more Hunger Games books have been sold in four months – not bad!

We’re sure sales will continue to surge over the next three years as Catching Fire, Mockingjay – Part 1, and Mockingjay – Part 2 are released between 2013 and 2015.
