After the impressive results from the Kickstarter campaign to fund Double Fine Adventure, Tim Schafer has released a video providing the first update on the ongoing drive. Similarly, Minecraft creator Markus ‘Notch’ Persson has tried to reel in the internet’s hype over Psychonauts 2.

With all of the money raised through the Kickstarter Double Fine Adventure will now be available DRM-free on PC, Mac and Linux when the project launches. Schafer also revealed the game will be coming to iOS and select Android devices.

Finally, the game will include full voice acting for the English version and will provide subtitle support for French, German, Italian and Spanish.

The day before Double Fine announced their Kickstarter campaign, they sent the internet into a frenzy after Notch offered to fund a sequel to fan-favorite and critical darling Psychonauts.

Since then, the Minecraft creator has tried to calm the masses after realizing the project may be harder than previously thought. “The budget for doing a Psychonauts 2 is three times higher than my initial impression,” Notch wrote on his blog.

However, he does go on to say he still believes the game can be made, but people should not get too excited just yet.
