Scandal season 4, episode 3 will find a Lost alum slipping into a new role where she needs help from Olivia – but Ms. Pope seems uninterested at first.
On last week’s episode of Scandal season 4 we watched as Fitz delivered possibly one of the most important speeches of his career, and Mellie started to recover from the loss of her son (thanks to Abby). After pleading for reform on gun control (thanks to Olivia), Fitz had an emotional moment with the First Lady, and sparks began to fly between Cyrus and a sex worker named Michael.
The synopsis for Scandal season 4, episode 3 reads, “An old friend (Sonya Walger) returns for help after her daughter goes missing, Cyrus has an awkward run in during a business breakfast, and Jake uses his connections to get some answers. Meanwhile, Mellie becomes obsessed with a national news story and David goes to great lengths to prove himself.”
Judging from photos released by ABC, Olivia hesitates from offering help to Walger’s character. Elsewhere in the stills we see Olivia meeting with her dad, and Huck and Quinn working on a case:
In a clip from Scandal season 4, episode 3, Press Secretary Abby walks into the Oval Office to find Fitz feeling frustrated over losing the battle over gun control. She informs the President that the First Lady is obsessed over the “Killer Cliff Bride” story that “everyone’s been talking about.”
A quick Google search reveals that Scandal’s writers may’ve pulled this story from headlines seen in the real world this past March.
In a trailer for tonight’s Scandal we see Michael the sex worker possibly getting closer to Cyrus – one of last week’s more surprising and exciting plot twists. We also see Jake questioning why Olivia wants to have sex with him when she loves Fitz, and Quinn laying the smackdown on a former flame.
