Scandal season 4, episode 13 will find Olivia Pope meeting the person who paid over $2 billion to own her, and many believe that the mystery person is obvious.

Update: Read our recap of tonight’s very surprising episode!

On last week’s episode of Scandal season 4 we watched as Olivia went up for sale on a much scarier, less-user-friendly version of eBay where the bidding to own her, and gain control of the President by extension, climbed well over $1 billion. When Olivia Pope & Associates began bidding on Olivia themselves (thanks to Huck’s surprise wealth from his B613 days), their leader was pulled off the market.

Why? Someone in Iran spoke to Gus to broker a deal outside of Dark eBay.

That mystery person will be revealed on tonight’s episode, and many believe that the bidder is Rowan. Not only is it possible that he has $2 billion laying around (if Huck has $1b, surely Papa Pope has $2b), but Rowan has been suspiciously absent for the past few episodes after his daughter tried to pull the trigger on him.

What’s less certain is what Rowan will want from the President in exchange for Olivia, if he ever plans to free her from captivity.

The synopsis for tonight’s new Scandal suggests that there will be more bidding going on even though the above commercial says the winner will be revealed. “As the bidding for Olivia Pope continues, the gladiators fight to save her but The White House fears that they may lose her for good,” the synopsis reads.

Interestingly, no stills have been released from season 4, episode 13, which may suggest that the episode is full of surprises. ABC typically releases at least a couple of photos from the episode prior to its airing. For example, they’ve already released photos from episode 14.

Scandal season 4, episode 13 titled “No More Blood” airs Thursday, February 19 at 9 p.m. eastern/pacific on ABC.

Enjoy the episode as much as possible, because next week Scandal will be off air so that How to Get Away with Murder can air its two hour season finale.
