The Scandal season 3 finale airs tomorrow on ABC, and the previews for the episode have teased quite a bang.

Update: Read our recap of tonight’s huge season finale!

In a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, cast members Kerry Washington (Olivia) and Scott Foley (Jake) raise expectations even higher with some interesting comments on episode 18 titled “The Price of Free and Fair Elections,” which airs Thursday at 10 p.m. eastern/pacific.

Foley says that the big moment in this episode will differ greatly from season 2’s finale in which we learned that Rowan is Olivia’s father. “This final moment will be divisive,” the actor says. “Some people will think, ‘Thank God, yes, that’s exactly what we wanted to see happen.’ Other people will be up in arms. Twitter will explode. Explode! Last season it was the ‘dad’ moment. This season, it’s not so much an, ‘Oh my God!’ — you’re either going to love it, or you’re going to be up in arms. And I have a feeling there’s going to be more people up in arms.”

Washington told THR that the finale will be “very shocking.”

“The final shot of the episode is not anything I could have imagined weeks before — or the episode before,” she says.

Judging by these comments, viewers should be in for a big cliffhanger that will leave us clamoring for season 4.

Thanks to last week’s episode and teasers for tomorrow’s, we know that the bomb at the deceased senator’s funeral will be going off. The question is, who will survive? People present at the eulogy include Vice President Sally Lange, her campaign manager, and Fitz’s Vice Presidential running mate Andrew Nichols. Meanwhile, Rowan is recovering at a hospital from wounds he received from his ex-wife Maya.
