Tonight’s episode of Scandal season 3 will very likely answer the big question we were presented at the end of last week’s show: Who got shot?

The obvious candidates are either James or David, who Jake was pointing his gun at in last week’s cliffhanger. It appears he did fire at one of them, after perfectly shooting other people next to James and David in the head. Our guess is that it was James who was shot, because of he and Cyrus’ emotional scene in the middle of last week’s episode which felt like a big final chat.
Scandal season 3, episode 14 titled “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” airs Thursday, March 20 at 10 p.m. eastern/pacific on ABC. The synopsis for the storyline says that “Sally sets a meeting with the NRA which sends the White House into a tailspin. Olivia and Huck come to shocking realizations and a surprising person asks for help from Pope and Associates.” This textual preview doesn’t seem to suggest that the characters will be reeling from a character death, but given that this shooting is expected to alter the show’s history, something big should be happening.
Photos from the episode primarily show Fitz, Olivia, and Cyrus working together to handle a situation – perhaps the aforementioned problem with Sally meeting with the NRA.
In a clip from Scandal season 3, episode 14, Mellie and Fitz’s VP running mate Andrew Nichols are having a passionate debate about gun control as they sit relaxed on a floor in the White House. Andrew notes that he can’t believe Fitz doesn’t see the greatness in Mellie. Will they be sharing a second kiss this episode? Mellie was sadly not very present last week.
